Adam S. Kaufman

D.M.D.

Dr. Kaufman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lafayette College and is a 1989 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He practices all aspects of general dentistry and enjoys pediatric and geriatric care. He is past president of the South County Dental Society and is a delegate to the Rhode Island Dental Association. Dr. Kaufman is a member of the Shoreline Synergy implant study group which meets regularly to discuss innovations and solutions in implant dentistry. He has restored simple and complex implant cases with remarkable results. His interests include cruising the waters between Long Island and Cape Cod and is a member of the Westerly Fire Department and the Westerly Power Squadron. Dr. Kaufman is a founder and president of Westerly Area Youth Lacrosse. He has coached boys’ and girls’ teams at the youth level and is a coach for the Westerly High School Boys’ team.

What was the best vacation you ever took and why?

We chartered a catamaran in the B.V.I. with another family. It was incredibly relaxing, the weather was fantastic, and no cell coverage!
What is your favorite time of year and why?

Summer, I just love being on the boat.
What's your favorite ice cream topping?

Hot fudge.
What are 3 things you can’t live without?

Obviously, the question is referring to the figurative so I have to say that I would not want to live without my family, a way to get out on the water, or garlic knots from Il Capuccino.
One thing I love that most people dislike is _______.

I enjoy beef tongue and pulling weeds from my lawn.
What was the best birthday gift you received as a child?

My parents gave me a used pick up truck when I was 17.
Where would we most likely find you on a Sunday?

In the summer, we are on the boat. Other times of the year, I might have Fire Department training or just hanging around enjoying a book.
